Cinevana ("Cinevana," "we," "us") provides an AI-powered creation and social streaming platform. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, waitlist, and — once launched — the Cinevana platform and apps.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist & account details: your email address, and later a username, password, profile details, and creator payout information.
- Content you create or upload: prompts, scripts, reference images, audio tracks, video uploads, characters you build (including CastLock ID profiles), comments, and messages.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, films watched, watch time, device and browser type, IP address, and approximate region.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure how the site performs. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
2. How AI generation uses your inputs
When you generate content, your prompts and reference materials are sent to third-party AI model providers (for example, ByteDance/BytePlus for Seedance models, and other engine partners such as Google, Kuaishou, or Anthropic for language assistance). These providers process your inputs to return generated output, under their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend not including sensitive personal information in prompts or reference uploads.
3. How we use information
- To operate the waitlist and, later, provide the platform: generation, streaming, discovery, and creator payouts.
- To send the invite email you requested and important service announcements. Marketing emails will always include an unsubscribe link.
- To personalize your feed and recommendations.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and content policies, including moderation of AI-generated content.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and security issues, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. What we share
- Service providers: hosting, video streaming, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, and AI model providers — only what's needed for them to perform their service.
- Public content: films, channels, profiles, and comments you publish are visible to others by design.
- Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep waitlist emails until launch invitations conclude or you ask us to delete yours. Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal, security, and backup purposes. You can request deletion at any time (Section 7).
6. Children
Cinevana is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data. Monetization features require you to be 18 or older. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, download, or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. International transfers
Our servers and service providers may be located in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.
